I hope Broady is not playing. I hate seeing our players playing against us. Stewy and Reddan always played well against us. I hope he's back next year.

Toumpas and any others. Not sure? I loved Jimmy in 2011 but those hip injuries took their toll.

I reckon Toumpss and Broadbent are the only ones in the sanfl .

Stewy a great in. I would say Firns may drop out unless we again have an injury over the break.

McLeod dropped to U18. I thought he was 18 now. They must be allowed an o/age player. With Luko back soon, the side is taking a good look about it.

I can't copy the side but I think Hienjus may be the likely out
Seems Pup and Sinor were correct last week
McLeod I'm not sure about

Best players given by the club at presentations:

1) Poole
2) Boyd
3) Lewis
4) Johansen
5) Hall
6) Thompson

Great comeback by the Eagles. In the second half it was great to see us take on the magpies through the centre of the ground.
Will be interesting to see where they play Lukosius next week and if they will recall Borholm.
Joe Sinor looked to move very freely in the reserves and was given sixth best. Spoke to him at the club and said he hoped to be back in the league team in three weeks time. Jared Petrenko looked a little proppy and did not seem to have a lot of confidence in his knee although he kicked three goals.
Have liked the way the Eagles have slowly brought along Rowe and Weidemann in the reserves. Both should be long term players for the Eagles. Weidemann looks much better running around the oval than playing a main forward position. Let's hope the reserves can stay in the top five to give support to the leagues final campaign.

Great post wimpy
I still have no clue how Gods turned them around .
Goldsworthy going onto a seasoned magpies player helped
Comma started playing well after 1/2 time
Some Port fans around us had issues with number 55 we told them you delisted him lol how they forget . And port fans on the other side of us had issues with Sharrad and Grey as well .
Pup and the weed hit into each other and the pup came off second best .
Rowe is quick
I'm happy we won come from behind
Still highlights we are awful after a bye

Looking forward to North next week with trepidation

Zac Milbanks report

Woodville-West Torrens gave its fans something to celebrate with a fighting 17-point win against Port Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval.

Trailing the Magpies at every change and by as much as 28 points early in the third quarter, the Eagles produced a stunning comeback to jump to the top of the Macca’s League ladder.

The belief shown by Michael Godden’s charges must be incredibly strong given they didn’t regain the lead until nippy ball magnet Jake Comitogianni kicked the first of his two final term majors in the 19th minute.

Making the most of the Magpies only having 19 fit players in the final term due to injuries suffered by Matthew Broadbent (ankle) and Jake Neade (knee), the hosts booted the last three goals of the match to stretch the margin out by the final siren.

Eager to acknowledge the 150th Macca’s League match of consistent midfielder Chris Hall, the Eagles had 14 fewer disposals, 10 less marks and tackles yet won the inside 50 count by seven entries.

And it was this sort of efficiency which helped bank the vital premiership points and push the Magpies further from those inside the top five.

Hall finished with 23 disposals and a goal in his milestone match while James Boyd continued his ball-winning form to find 31 touches to shade Jake Johansen with 26 against one of his former clubs.

Port captain Steven Summerton and Karl Amon (27 disposals each) were again strong contributors for the Magpies, who now reside in eighth place with a 4-7-1 win-loss-draw record.

First-year draftee Kane Farrell is continuing to show promise around the goals, kicking another three against the Eagles while demoted Power forward Todd Marshall was unable to hit the scoreboard despite collecting 20 possessions.

EAGLES 2.2 3.3 7.8 11.10 (76)

PORT 5.0 7.3 9.4 9.5 (59)

LEADING DISPOSALS – Eagles: Boyd 31, Johansen 26, Lewis 25, Hall 23, Poole 22, Sharrad 20, Haylock 18.

Port: Summerton, Amon 27, Toumpas 26, Lienert 23, Hewett, Snelling 22, Marshall 20.

GOALS – Eagles: J. Hayes, Comitogianni, Haylock 2, Hall, Lewis, Von Bertouch, Sharrad, Johansen.

Port: Farrell, Patmore 3, Ladhams, Hewett, Kluske.

Good summary Wimpy. I had Poole as my best by a country mile. A lot of his stats are not recorded but he is always at the ball.
The Hayes boys were well contained and  it made our win better. Good to see we have other options to score.  Boyd used the ball better in the second half but his 20 meter dinks of the ball frustrate me sometimes especially when a couple of times he could have had a shot at goals  but ultimately turned the ball over. However his game overall was good. Lewey is one impressing me at the moment, more mobile.
Luko has to come in and Sinor, not sure who they replace. Gray is one probably. Thommo and Stewey are real generals in defense and sinor will be icing on the cake.
As for Rowe and Weidemann, we need play them more often. I am scared they may move on if they are not given an opportunity.

BTW. Apart from Luko I loved seeing Kai Pudney, Martin Frederick in the U18 stae side/ That Frederick has some pace and if not drafted will be an a grade player soon.
